If you need a big truck, the 2022 Ford Super Duty is built for you. The truck comes in three sizes: F-250, F-350, and F-450 - each one larger than the next. Impressive Heavy-Duty Performance

Ford offers the Super Duty truck with several powertrains that can be equipped with a variety of transmissions. The standard engine is a 6.2-liter V8 with 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The other Ford Super Duty specs include larger engine choices like the 7.3-liter V8 with 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque and the Power Stroke diesel 6.7-liter V8 engine with 475 horsepower and 1050 pound-feet of torque.

If you need a Ford Super Duty with towing capacity, all trims will do, but the best choice is a model equipped with the Power Stroke diesel engine. When equipped with a towing package and trailer hitch, the heavy-duty pickup in the F-350 with a Regular Cab and rear-wheel drive can tow up to 21,000.

Most of the F-250 and F-350 models have tow ratings between 12,700 and 15,000 pounds depending on the bed size and drivetrain. With a regular cab and an eight-foot bed, the F-250 heavy-duty truck has a maximum payload of 4,260 lbs.

Standard Safety Features Increase By Trim

To get the popular driver-assistive features, buyers have to choose an XLT or better trim. Buyers who want the base trim can only add driver-assistive features as optional features. On the XLT, the standard features include a Tailgate-Mounted Rear View Camera, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and Trailer Coverage, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking and Forward Collision Warning, and Automatic High Beams.

Drivers who want standard Adaptive Cruise Control will need to choose the Platinum or Limited trims. The Limited trim is the only trim with standard Adaptive Steering.

High-Tech Infotainment

The Xl trim comes with basic tech features like a standard radio without a touchscreen. Once buyers move to the XLT trim, they get an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The Lariat trim upgrades the screen to 12.0 inches and includes the Sync 4 software system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All models can be upgraded to have a 10-speaker premium B&O stereo with SiriusXM Satellite Radio. The large interior can be enhanced with extra 110-volt outlets and USB ports. With Sync 4, Ford sends regular over-the-air updates for the navigation and other systems.

Several Styling Choices for All Driving Needs

If you want a work truck, a luxurious ride, or something in between, the Super Duty models offer it all. These pickup trucks come with everything from easy-to-clean and durable vinyl to two-tone leather seats with heat, ventilation, and memory settings. Most seating options have leather trim in the front with premium vinyl in the rear.

The Limited trim has an available twin-panel power moonroof that is only available on the Crew Cab models. This top trim also comes with an Admiral Blue/Light Slate interior with a Dark Ashwood center console. It has other premium features including multi-contour seats, suede headliners, ambient lighting, and Limited badging.

Other trims, like the Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum, begin to add features like massaging seats and wireless charging. Drivers who want the Super Duty trucks for off-roading can add the Tremor package with Rock Crawl, Trail Control, 35-inch off-road tires, and additional off-road package features.
