Going electric doesn’t mean losing power or capability. The all-electric 2022 F-150 Lightning is built just as tough as its gas-powered counterparts, ready for both work and recreation. Ford has put the F-150 Lightning through rigorous testing in difficult conditions to test its mettle and ensure drivers they’re still driving one of the world’s toughest pickup trucks.

The F-150 Lightning offers four models—Pro, XLT, LARIAT, and Platinum—each equipped with two powerful and innovative batteries. The standard range lithium-ion battery offers a targeted EPA-estimated range of 230 miles, and the available extended range battery offers a targeted EPA-estimated range of 300 miles (available on the XLT, LARIAT, and Platinum trims).

F-150 Lightning battery packs are mounted between the frame rails to save space, and protected by a unique exostructure that shields the battery while off-roading. All trims are equipped with two inboard motors that power the standard 4x4 system, and an independent rear suspension that minimizes body roll and road defects for precise handling and a smooth ride.
