Three Ford Ranger Models

The Ranger XL, XLT, and Lariat trims come standard with a 4x2 drivetrain (with the option of 4x4), an independent front suspension, and electronic Shift-On-The-Fly with Neutral Towing Capability (4x4 only). All three models produce 270 hp, 310 lb-ft or torque, and give a max 7,500 lbs towing capacity.

They also have standard Trailer Sway Control, and for trailer towing, 4-pin wiring, and ball mounting provisions in the rear bumper. All Ranger trims also have the standard or available Ford Terrain Management System™ with four selectable drive modes.

The XLT and Lariat trims are equipped with extra goodies including Ford Co-Pilot360™—Ford’s driver-assist technologies that include the Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and coverage for both your truck and trailer, the Lane-Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, and a Rear View Camera.

Extra Off-Road Capability

Ranger XLT and Lariat trims with the 4x4 drivetrain also include the FX4 Off-Road Package. This includes some serious off-road features that make tackling tough terrain no problem. You get off-road monotube shocks, off-road tires with aggressive tread and traction-enhancing electronic-locking rear differentials, an exposed steel front bash plate, and protective skid plates.

The FX4 Off-Road Package also adds a cluster screen to your instrument panel so you can get feedback on pitch and roll and steering angle. The included Terrain Management System™ and Trail Control™ provide even more off-road technology that helps you navigate rough terrain with ease.

Select XLT and Lariat models include the Technology Package with features that keep you connected and protected both on and off the road. The Technology Package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, the Forward-Sensing System, and Ford’s Navigation System.

Luxury Upgrades on the Ranger Lariat

The Lariat has a host of key features that give your pickup truck that extra touch of luxury and comfort. Things like heated front leather-trimmed seating and rear leather-trimmed seats come standard on all Lariat SperCrew® models. The driver and front passenger seats include 8-way power adjustable controls with lumbar support and a flow-through console and floor shift.

You can also relax to the sounds of the B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen with HD Radio™ (SuperCrew only) that features 10 premium speakers and up to 660 watts of amplified power. LED headlights, daytime running lights, and fog lights are also standard to help brighten up those late night runs.
